Cookie notice
This site sets no tracking cookies. Two entries in your browser's own storage remember the choices you make — your cookie choices, and whether you want the light or the dark page — and nothing else is stored on your device. Last updated 28 October 2026.
No tracking cookies
No cookie is set by this site for advertising, analytics or profiling. There is no cross-site tracking, no advertising identifier and no fingerprinting.
The site does include a first-party, cookieless page-view counter, which would store only the name of an event and the path visited. On this site that counter records nothing at all.
What is stored on your device
Two entries, and both are stored by your browser rather than by us. When you use the cookie banner, the choice you make is written to your browser's local storage so that the banner does not ask again on your next visit. When you use the light or dark mode switch in the header, the mode you pick is written alongside it. Both stay there until you clear them.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
| bytesfx-consent | This site | Stores the cookie choices you made | Until you clear it |
| bytesfx-theme | This site | Stores whether you chose the light or the dark page. Written only when you use the mode switch; until then the site follows your operating system and writes nothing. | Until you clear it |
| bfx-admin-token | This site | Holds your staff session so the dashboard knows you are signed in. Session storage, not a cookie, and only if you sign in. | Until you close the tab |
| None | This site | No cookies are set | Not applicable |
None of these is a cookie in the technical sense: they all live in the browser's storage API. The first two are local storage and stay until you clear them; the third is session storage and is cleared when you close the tab. None is sent to any other site, and none identifies you to anyone but this one.
The cookie banner
The banner at the foot of the page offers three ways to decide: allow all categories, reject the optional ones, or choose which categories you allow. Whichever you pick is saved in your browser, as described above, and the banner then stays out of the way. If you make no choice at all, the site stores nothing and the banner will ask again next time.
One honest caveat: choosing analytics or advertising does not start a tracker, because no analytics or advertising tag is served at all. Accepting everything still stores only the entries described above. The categories are still offered so that the flow is complete and the consent model is visible. On a live site, the choices would switch tags on and off.
Owner-configured tracking snippets
The site has a feature for owner-configured tracking code. A snippet of head or body HTML is entered in the admin console, given a page scope and a consent category, and injected into the page only when the matching category has been allowed.
On this site, no snippets are served, so no third-party tag is loaded and the feature has no effect. A live deployment would need those snippets consent-gated, with a banner that describes the categories accurately, and a record of who asked to be contacted and who did not.
Third parties, fonts and embeds
On these pages there are no web fonts, no embedded maps, videos or posts, and no social tags. The site uses the fonts already installed on your device, and the Share button uses your device's own share sheet, or copies a link, so it contacts nobody unless you pick a network yourself inside that sheet. No third party receives anything from your browser.
The one party that necessarily handles your request is Cloudflare, the hosting provider, which processes standard server logs such as the IP address, the address requested, the browser's user agent and the timing. That is part of delivering the site and protecting it from abuse, and the retention period for those logs is set by Cloudflare rather than by us.
Changing your mind
Use the button, in the footer of every page, to review or change your choice at any time. You can also delete the stored choices through your browser's site data settings. The site works either way, and if you clear the cookie choice the banner will ask you again.
